Lt. Mark Sims has been with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office since September 1999.  He began his career with the City of Bowdon in 1980.  He also worked for the Sheriff’s Office in the early 1980’s.  He also served as the initial Director of the 911 Communications Center.

Lt. Sims returned to the Sheriff’s Office in administration, but transitioned into the Jail Division during the construction of the new jail in 2000, where he has achieved the rank of Lieutenant.  He holds POST certifications as a peace officer, jail officer, instructor, and as a field training officer.
