Chief Deputy Robinson joined the Carroll County Sheriff's Office in 1986 after serving five years on active duty in the United States Air Force (Security Police Field). He began his career in the patrol division and also continued in the Air Force Reserve from which he has now retired.
In 1991 he entered the Criminal Investigations Division where he worked as an investigator and later became Sergeant of the Criminal Investigations Division until 1998 when he left the Carroll County Sheriff's Office to join the Carrollton Police Department as Captain of the Criminal Investigations Division.
In 2001, after Sheriff Langley took Office, he returned to the Carroll County Sheriff's Office as Captain of the Criminal Investigations Division. In January 2002, he was appointed as the Chief Deputy for the department.
